Activities

While there is plenty to do at the farm included in your stay, below are some activities available to you. The following activities can all be booked for an additional cost upon request. For more information please contact us.

Game Drives – Exciting game drives in the Big Five area of the Dinokeng Game Reserve.
Wildlife Animal Capture – participate in the capture of a wild animal(s) for relocation under the guidance of a licensed Wildlife Vet. This is truly an adventure that is unique and priceless. (season/weather dependent)
Clay pigeon/target shooting – Get the opportunity to shoot some clays in the middle of the bush. We’ll take you to our shooting range on the farm for some fun in a safe and controlled environment. Whether you are a novice or a well-trained shooter this is an outdoor activity for everyone. (15 Clays/15 Shots pp)
SPA Treatments – Experience your relaxing spa treatments in the bush with distant sounds of wildlife, or in the privacy of your own room. Although you are in the midst of South African farm life, we offer a wide array luxurious spa treatments of all kinds.
Bush Walks at Big Five – How exciting to have the opportunity to explore the African bush by foot with a qualified Game Ranger. On a bush walk you can experience sightings of certain species and plants that are often missed during a game drive. A two or four hour guided bush walk can be arranged upon request. Essentials such as proper attire, sun protection, binoculars, and cameras are necessary to enjoy the full experience. A snack and drink are included. Children under 12 years of age not permitted.
Sun Downer in Big Five Reserve – Board the luxury boat for a sunset cruise and watch the most beautiful African sunset whilst listening to the African birds sing. Come watch over 280 species of birds fly above the indigenous African bush. Boat docks at a nearby boathouse Boma off-site. Snacks and one local beverage of choice is included.
Boat Trip Rust de Winter Dam – Going to one of the most beautiful dams in the Nature Reserve and take a ride on the boat to see some amazing birds and wildlife; into fishing.. no problem, we’ll take some rots with and will try to catch some Bass.
Microlight Flights – Experience a scenic aerial tour of the Dinokeng Game Reserve.
Educational Reptile Experience – Learn about their behaviour, habits and uses for the medical world. Get eye to eye with these magnificant animals. Scared of snakes? Not anymore after this experience.
Quad bike Safari – Explore the bush on a Quad bike and enjoy some beautiful sceneries with its wildlife.
Visit to Mall of Africa / Cambanos – The biggest Mall of South-Africa. There will be time for souvenir shopping for yourself, family, and friends at one of the largest and most beautiful tourist shops in the area; Cambanos. From typical Afrikaans carvings and beads to animal skins and diamonds, there is something to be found for everyone.
