GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We would like to inform you of the following terms and conditions of your stay and/or participation in activities at the farm Sun Acres.1. The person who makes the reservation and/or receives/reads these conditions agrees to inform all the members of his/her group of the terms and conditions and accepts the responsibility to ensure that all the members conform to the stipulations thereof. These terms and conditions are in any event applicable to anybody entering Sun Acres property. 2. Right of admission is reserved. Any person, who misbehaves himself/herself to the judgment of the management or any of staff members of Sun Acres farm, has to leave the premises on request. Admission / accommodation fees will not be refunded. 3. The use of fireworks is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in immediate expulsion from the property and immediate cancellation of the booking, without any refund. 4. The responsibility of proper supervision over babies, toddlers and children rests on the person in whose care they enter the reserve (Dinokeng Game Reserve and Sun Acres farm). 5. All facilities on the farm are used at own risk, especially the swimming pool and dams. Sun Acres farm does not accept responsibility for any injuries, stolen items or damage which may be a result of utilising the facilities or any other injuries or damage visitors may suffer at Sun Acres farm or any visiting facilities. The guests further acknowledge that Sun Acres is a game farm (bordering a Big 5 game reserve) and as such there are dangerous wild animals such as different buck, snakes, etc. reside on the property which risk of injury and death the guest accepts as his/her own risk with no recourse to the owner and/ or employee/s of Sun Acres. 6. Guests are requested to honour the peace and tranquillity of the environment at all times and may not play loud music or musical instruments at any time. After 22:00 there must be absolute silence on Sun Acres Property. Guests are specifically prohibited to play music from a car sound system within the boundaries of Sun Acres farm, whether from a stationary or moving vehicle, no matter what time of the day or night. 7. No glass beverages may be taken into the swimming pool. No littering of any kind is allowed anywhere on the property of Sun Acres farm. Use the provided rubbish bins which are cleaned daily by our staff. No loud shouting or screaming is prohibited. Respect nature and the cleanliness of the area at all times. 8. Guests are responsible for all equipment/sun acres property in the units you will be liable to pay for any breakage/damage during their visit. Guests are responsible for all damages caused to the property of Sun Acres. The cost of any damage and breakage is payable as it occurs. Before departure, hand your accommodation keys to the responsible employee. 9. All furniture/ decoration/etc. are the property of Sun Acres farm.10.We reserve the right to call upon any/all guest(s) to positively identify him/herself with an officially issued identity document or passport before arrival, failing which the guest agree not to enter Sun Acres farm. 11. Please drive carefully on all the roads on Sun Acres and do not exceed 20 km per hour. Children and animals always have right of way. Under no circumstances may any animal be fed (including the dogs)! If you feed the monkeys, you only accomplish in signing their death warrant as they become a nuisance and have to be shot. 12. All guests are asked to immediately report any breakage or fault on/to the premises to management.13. No discrimination of any kind will be tolerated, including reverse discrimination. No abuse of any kind will be tolerated. 14. No motorbikes, quad bikes or similar vehicles are allowed. Fires may only be made in the braai/bbq facilities provided. No wood may be gathered from the property. Sun Acres farm will provide you with wood.15. Rude language and swearing are not allowed. Any form of conduct by a guest/s, which in the opinion of management compromises the property or enjoyment of sun acres farm by other guests will result in immediate cancellation of the booking and expulsion from the property, without any refund.16. No smoking inside the accommodation is allowed. Use the ashtrays provided if you smoke outside of the accommodation. Do not throw a burning cigarette into the bush. Please note that starting a fire causing damage to the property /grazing/animals of Sun Acres farm etc. is a criminal offence and you will be liable for damages. 17. No person may remove any object/animal/property from Sun Acres farm. We also do not allow day visitors. Similarly, you may not bring other guests who have not booked & paid onto the property of Sun Acres farm. 18. Any contravention of any of the conditions contained herein will result in immediate cancellation of your booking and expulsion from the farm without notice plus possible action for damages. The guest(s) undertake to not ask for a refund, as no refunds will in any event be considered. 19. We reserve the right to amend or change these Rules at any time as circumstances dictate.20. During your stay a change of bedding will take place after every 3 nights (or earlier when needed). Cleaning of the accommodation will be done daily by our staff.21. There will be a complimentary laundry service daily. We will try to return laundry within 48 hours. 22. A Non-refundable deposit of 20% is required upon booking your stay. The balance is payable 6 weeks (42 days) before your arrival. (Unless stated otherwise by management) – EFT (or cash) payable directly into our bank account; Orange Air Pty Ltd. For International payments (outside South-Africa) the customer is liable for all bank charges; inside and outside your own country. We retain the right but shall not be obliged to (in our own exclusive discretion) to cancel or partially cancel any booking not paid for on the respective due dates. In order to track your payment, proof of payment needs to be emailed to:  info@sunacressafari.co.za. Accommodation is charged per person, not per accommodation. We do not accept cheques, any cheque deposit will be ignored as if never been made, no refunds will be considered and any related bank charges will be charged to the Guest. There will be no credit card/bank card/ATM facilities available at Sun Acres farm. An ATM will be available at Safari Mall close to Sun Acres farm. 23. If you cancel your booking for any reason or would like to re-booked, cancellation/re-booking fees will be due and payable according to the following (All banking fees for International payments will be charged to customer):

  • More than 60 days prior to arrival, 80% of the total stay price will be refunded.(20% is non-refundable deposit)
  • 31 to 60 days prior to arrival, 50% of the total stay price will be refunded.
  • Less than 31 days prior to arrival, no refund.
  • In case of a re-booking an extra 10% re-bookings fee will be charged (of total amount) on top of the total amount. Any (third party) extra activities that are charged in full after cancellation/re-booking will be charged extra in full on top off of the re-booking fee. Re-booking date must be within the same year of the initial booking or within 3 months when the year changes otherwise your booking is seen as cancelled and there will be no refund paid. Bookings that are moved to a different year might be charged extra due to inflation. The Re-booking date must be confirmed within 15 days of request and the payment must be done within 21 day, otherwise the booking is seen as cancelled and no refund will be paid.
  • No promotions/discounts will be applicable, therefore the full price of the accommodation/activities needs to be paid.
  • NB If a booking is moved to a new date, the cancellation policy still stays according to the initial date that was booked and therefore refunds will not be applicable to moved bookings. A booking can only be moved once (Unless stated otherwise by management) , after that the booking will be cancelled and no refund will be paid.

 

  1. Under no circumstances may any candles be lit inside the accommodation. Please switch of the heater/fan when you are leaving the accommodation for the day or when you are not present at night. 25. Any relaxation of any of the Rules by any authorised person on behalf of Sun Acres farm does not mean that a change or relaxation of any Rule has occurred. 26. In the event of a dispute between members of a party, the person in whose name the booking is made shall be regarded as the leader of the group and he/she shall be responsible for everybody else’s actions. 27. The Sun Acres Safari/African Experience programme is a set programme but activities may be changed by management at all times due to unforeseen circumstances. Guests bringing their belongings to the activities will be at your own risk. Sun Acres farm is not liable for the theft or loss or damage thereof. 28. The guests will be picked up at the closest International Airport (OR Tambo International Airport Johannesburg) by a third party company and transported to Sun Acres farm. On the day of departure guests will be picked up at Sun Acres farm by a third party company and transported to the closest International Airport (OR Tambo International Airport Johannesburg). The same applies for activities where transport is needed far outside the Dinokeng Game Reserve. (Applies only if transport is booked in advance).29. Participation in all activities set in or booked at the Sun Acres Safari/African Experience programme is at your own risk. Sun Acres farm/Management can’t be held responsible for any nonparticipating due to own circumstances, medical/health. 30. Some activities will be held outside Sun Acres Property and organised by third parties. You might have to sign a separate (indemnity) form with these parties to participate.31. Food and local drinks are included in the programme. We will do our utmost to cater for all your needs and wishes, but this can’t be guaranteed. 32. To attend this programme you must have your own medical and travel insurance specific to the dates you are staying with us at Sun Acres farm. 33. You have read and understood this document and you agree with these terms and conditions. 34. Remember: Acts of God/Natural disasters/Bad weather/etc. and the discomfort associated therewith are not within our control. Eskom power outages/terrible cell phone or wifi reception/irritating mosquitoes/persistent flies/ill-behaved neighbours/noneffective government /badly behaved animals etc. are also not in our control.

Corona conditions: 

In case of a lockdown (not been able to travel decided by SA government) your booking will postponed to a later date in the year of booking or within 10 months of the initial booking if it’s different year. (Any extra costs of third party bookings under their cancellation terms will be charged and bookings that are moved to a different year might be charged extra due to inflation).

In case of a lockdown (not been able to travel decided by your own country’s government) the terms at no.23 stated above will apply.
